Well, this was FI$T FIR$T's first game with their star FA Thower Eomund Alban.  It was with a heavy heart and a lighter wallet that Coach Jackal decided to let their starting thrower, Snake Plisken go but this guy Alban was too good to pass up... plus, Ol' Snake was always complaining about his niggling injury and after the beating he took but survived against that Pink Elephant Pile-On Machine Malaria, well, upper management figured he'd used up all the luck he had.  Plus, FI$T FIR$T would be getting this Alban kid 20K cheaper since he was just coming to them as he was fitting out a new skill.  That offset, at least a little bit, the 30K charge.  Of course, as Nuffle would have it, next week's FA pool had an Ogre with block, which was really more what FI$T FIR$T's upper echelon was hankerin' to get.  Well, with FI$T FIR$T up against the Chaos Dorf team, Molten Fagony (not that there's anything wrong with being Canadian), there shouldn't be too much of a danger of interceptions... Jackal was eager to see whether or not this new thrower was worth the 220K price tag.

Coach Thul failed the coin toss, and Jackal decided to receive the kick...  ... i'm still not sure if we tied for the FAME, but i sure know we didn't win it.   Jackal thought about the wisdom of Elessar, who oftentimes chooses to kick so as to have the ball in the second half when he may have less players with which to defend. But I decide I have to try to make use of that first chance to attack.  Plus I didn't have a player with yet.  The kick by those stunty little knicker sniffers barely goes out of bounds, and Jackal elects to give the ball to the second string thrower... let him make a quick pass to the FA Alban with AG4 back in the safety of the backfield.  Using Dauntless, Frans Fistacuff downs the Chaos Mino!  Unfortunately, it doesn't even stun the beast. The blitz against the Savage was with the only Tackler on the team, and it was a 1d affair... block block.. the others were just pushes... Hans the Hammer, the team's dirty player tried a two assist foul on the downed Mino, again not even a stun on the brute.

Jackal shuddered with fear as Molten's first move was a blitz by the downed mino on Hans the Hammer stunning the poor, hapless Dirty Player who certainly didn't see that being the first move by the Agony's Coach Thul ...  Yikes, this Thul guy wasn't afraid to unleash the hounds!   Not much else, by the dorfs, but they line up a three assist foul with their DP hobgoblin on our second best blitzer, Duncan Idaho with Block, MB, Guard and Side Step,  stunning him on the enemy side of the pitch. Not good. Another block vs block on a 1d block against the Savage...  so far, no tackle to help tip the scales...

Willy Wrekmore, fearing for his family who, due to some paperwork diffiiculties, is still "volunteering" for the semi-semi-semi pro Orc team the Greenskin Grodies, is really fired up today.  And it shows!  Wrekmore hustles past the skirmish on the LOS, and  and blitzed Molten Agony's freakiing gobo long bombing hurler who is mid field deep in the center of the Agony's side of the field. Welp,... firs tattempt at a GFI for the blitz.. FAIL.. thank Nuffle he was able to pass the RR, and KO! Down goes the Hobogoblin hurler!! That was a bold decision by Jackal because it left the stunned Duncan Idaho surround by four free Agony players. Willy Wiggleworm also charges behind Willy Wrekmore  but staying on the left side of the pitch.and  FI$T FIR$T has got two Willies deep in Agony territory...  Alban, even with Blodge and AG4 decides do stay just outside on any charge by any of the Agony's players.. keeping a sharp eye on the Savage especially....

Jackal, throughout the game, took some mad dancy chances with his ag3 humies..  this time dodging a lino out to assist Frans Fistacuff on another dauntless attempt on the Mino.  Boom goes the dyna.. well, poof goes the firecracker.. Mino down, but again, not even stunned.  No attempt to foul the Mino as FI$T FIR$T's DP was still reeling on his back

Molten's turn starts with the Mino going Wild and remaining prone on his back.  Sadly for FI$T FIR$T, that wasn't a blitz attempt though.  An Agony lino clawed and stunned a FI$T FIR$T lino, but then Thul unleashed his savage..  using break tackle he pulled away from a human blitzer.. .failed a GFI but, having sure feet, he kept upright, 2dblock/blitzing Wrekmore , but he failed to bring down Wrekmore, due to Wrekmore's dodging ability.   But then it happened, the DP hobo with three assists fouled Duncan Idaho.. KO'ing him..  thankfully, having watched some vids of Wrekmore's family "cheerleading," he learned some great screams and was able to call attention to the foul.. and the dirty little hobo was rightfully ejected from the game!

Wrekmore dodges away (stupidly ignoring the fact that the other dorf marking him had tackle.. ahhh, ignorance is bliss until THE BIG FIND OUT COMES DOWN, WILE E. COYOTE STYLE, LIKE AN ANVIL ON A ROADRUNNER CARTOON) from the Savage and downs the Agony lino that was marking Willy Wiggleworm... then returns to mark the Savage, really the only player who can not catch the catcher...  Alban charges down the field, and unleashes a picture perfect spiral which the wide open catcher gathers in like he he's made of sponge (shit, that is the best analogy i could think of) ... now, IT'S JACKAL TIME, BABY...

sure, the catcher could just waltz into the endzone,  it would mean getting a chance to to bring back the KO'd Duncan Idaho... but there's a lot of clock left and the only Agony player that can bring down Wiggleworm is the Savage and he a. is marked by Wrekmore and b. doesn't have tackle.    The humans have more guys that can close on the ball should the Savage actually take down Wiggleworm, so Jackal coins a new phrase: the human punt.. .that's punt, Timdog... keep your mind out of the gutter.

Jackal was beginning to sweat.. so was poor Willy Wiggleworm who was just denied an easy Touchdown... he was looking over his shoulder at the Raging Savage....  Coach Thul put two dorfs on Wrekmore as he set up for the obvious play: Savage blitz dodge.. two dice, but no (edit: accidentally wrote block, but meant:) Tackle.

here's a Close-Up of Willy Wiggleworm.. hopefully i can figure out how to add it to my team roster

The savage uses his 4ST to break out of the TZ of Wrekmore... and the blitz is on!  Down goes Wiggleworm and he's stunned so he'll be of no use next turn.  Also, many more dorfs have moved back into the "deep end" of their pitch...  Jackal whimpers like a lost Chihuahua in China town... abandoned by his owner...  it's not looking good, but the AG2 savage fails to pick up the ball!  He uses a RR.. fails again...  (he did fail a GFI, but he does have sure feet)....   One of the things Jackal said to Coach Thul was that he hoped he'd at least chew up some of the Agony's RR, and now they're down to one... but the ball seems almost impossible to attain.

Jackal really screws the pooch in this turn..  First of all, with Wiggleworm not even moving, much less gettin' his wiggle on, he's fixated on breasts.. i mean the ball.. the ball,  and that means he's fixated on Wrekmore who is his only chance to right this tilting ship... he does move a few players down, but he leaves Frans Fistacuff, Captain Dauntless,  laying.. maybe smartly, at the hooves of the Mino....  He sends Wrekmore blitzing to attempt to clear out from the two dorfs marking him... getting Attack Down, Both Down, Jackal RR's  same results.. Attacker Down and Both Down... Stymied, he pushes the Wrekmore "Easy Button"   looks like that button is for Wrekmore's sister... ...  Wrekmore fails the almost impossible dodge, but at least isn't injured in the process.

Here's Wrekmore, before he's on his back...  not that many pictures of Timdog like this.. most I've seen, he's on his back... in a basement.. on a dirty mattress...  oh well, never mind, here's Wrekmore

COME AT ME, BRO

It's not looking good for FI$T FIR$T:

FI$T FIR$T gets lucky as the dorfs only take down Stilgar a blitzer who had moved to get close to the ball and then the Agony's Hobgoblin, Sandy Sharpspear  (might be sharp, but it sure ain't long), passes a gfi to get to the ball, but then fails the 3+ to pick up the ball, and then fails the RR... The Agony are out of RR's!!

FI$T FIR$T doesn't do much but gets a lot of fella back on their feet...  Poor Willy Wiggleworm obeys his coach but squeals like a branded goat as he dodges into the corner of the endzone and then sideways next to the butter fingered hobbygobby.  The insult to this turn is when Frans Fistacuff fails a dodge to get away from the Mino... successfully uses a RR to pass the dodge and then shits his pants on a gfi to try to get to assist a block.  THE GFI RANDOMIZER IS A STEAMING PIECE OF POOP.

Perhaps, Nuffle heard Jackal's cries of frustration because he sent this gift... Basalt Blackberry fails a two dice block against the rookie lineman, Billy Badass... double skulls

and it's FI$T FIR$T's turn again!!   It should be noted that Coach Thul had very little difficulty deciding to use he Apoth on the only Badly Hurt Basalt Blackberry because he rightly identified that we humans were of no threat at all.  So, Bathsalt Dingleberry, instead of being in the Injury Box, was stewing on the sidelines...

Stilgar Fist, the team's namesake, was asked to try his third attempt at a 1d Block on the Savage and this time it was a skull...  FI$T FIR$T's last RR is burned and Stilgar at least gets the push here...  and Jackal screwed the pooch and then took it to dinner.  Wrong choice on the push... misjudged Wrekmore's blitz lane... should have been focusing on taking that Savage OUT...

Wrekmore can't get to the hobgoblin without trying to dodge through tackle infested TZ's..  does he go for the ball with on TZ or hope the AG4, Sure Hands, Blodging QB can start earning this teams trust?  It's decided to leave the pick up to the FA, Alban... Wrekmore blitzes the Savage, but they both just bang heads...

Wrekmore vs. The Savage

Okay, so the lane is there.. just a simple dodge away from a dorf with tackle, but Alban's got AG4!!  He's out an on his way to a simple pick up!!   only one hobo standing around the ball!!  The crowd, what little human fans there are, surges to their feet in a roar!!!!!

Oh MOTHER NUFFLE NO!!!!!!!!!!   The human fans RAGE IN ANGER AND DISGUST...  Alban has snaked eyed the pick up....  Alban's agent leaves the FI$T FIR$T pressbox... complaining of stomach pains....  "SURE HANDS, MY ASS!!  SURE TO BE LOPPED OFF SO YOU WON'T EVER SELF ABUSE YOURSELF AGAIN.. .one fan is heard to scream

the look on Alban's face is one of utter astonishment.. this is not what he does... he had just 6'd the dodge away from the dorf with Tackle.. even farted a nice one right into his facemask...  and he doinked the pick-up?!?!? DOINKED IT TWICE!!?!?

Here's Alban's face.. check out the hood ornament on his helmet

Things are looking bleak... the dorfs are clearing out any and all FI$T FIR$T tackle zones, and even as Willy Wiggleworm avoids a direct hit by the pinned in Savage, the damnable hobbitgoblin pushes him into the crowd...

thankfully, it was feed the fat dorf cheermen some warm beer going on and there weren't too many fans nearby to harm Mr. Wiggles...

Not much else happened, just dorfs and Mino banging around humans are parts of the pitch fairly well removed from the epicenter of the shitshow that Jackal had created...

Jackal missed the chance to take a page from the obviously more wise coach here and do what Thul did:  namely screw the ball and take out your adversaries...  he started out okay.. Wrekmore stunning a lineman.. then Stilgar with yet his FOURTH 1d block on the Savage only manages a push...  but the Savage is in the corner of the endzone... Alban could have surfed the damn Savage, after all he had Block... but the end was frickin NIGH .. and Jackal wanted a score... hell, Alban wanted a score to regain the respect of his teammates.

Looking out, all Alban had to do now was Blitz down the hob-omelet next to the ball, jump in pick it up, and dodge merrily away... saving Jackal from looking like an ass... scratch that... like more of an ass than he already usually looks like....

the hobogobo didn't have block, but it was only a one dice affair...  PUSH..  now the big choice...  push the still standing hobosquatch into the ball and hope he drops it, or push the bugger to the side and attempt to dodge in and just get his mits on the ball.. Alban fails the dodge... the crowd sighs heavily... like a fart from a very dialated rectum of a giant the size of a hot air balloon....

The bleakness turns to Blight as the Dorfs prepare...  Stilgar fist somehow avoids a 2d block that would have sent him surfing, but then the dreaded fear occurs... the Hobogoober picks up the ball... the dorf crowd gets to their feet... at least i think they do, they're quite short so i think they're actually lower in height when they get down off the bleacher seats...   the Mino knocks down another hapless human, but the human armorer has worked some magic during the week .. the FI$T FIR$T's pots and pans are holding together nicely..

enough to make any human armorer face clawy chaos dorfs proud:

OKAY, FANS.. HERE'S WHAT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR.... THE HIPGIBLET has the ball, but he's got a weak spot... all it's gonna take if for Willy Wrekmore to dodge out of a dorf's TZ , yea yea yea.. a dorf with tackle... and then blitz the habgablin... knock the ball loose where the super star Ablan can pick it up and and TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE!!!

WREKMORE DOES HIS PART OF THE JOB...

DODGING OUT!!

AND PUNKING HEDGEHOG!!!

THE HEDGEHOG is down and the ball is within reach!!  GO PICK IT UP, GO PICK IT UP YOU SUPER STAR YOU!!

NEWLY ACQUIRED FREE AGENT THROWER, EOMUND ALBAN HAS THE BALL...

HE'S GONNA HAVE TO REALLY PUSH IT TO MAKE IT TO THE ENDZONE...  HERE'S HIS FIRST ATTEMPT TO STRETCH IT OUT!!

DOWN GOES FRAZIER... he didn't even pass the first GFI...

after that, Jackal couldn't see much through his tears, but Stilgar Fist was crowd surfed, but.. the armorer earned another cheerleader and a deer...  (something he heard about from some Pink Elephant's player) as Stilgar wasn't injured...  Still it was very quiet in the locker room at half time as Jackal's decision to stall had resulted in no score at all...

HOTTEST LOGO EVER2 versus Project Mayhem Part 2

sorry for that technical difficulty..

so, Project Mayhem sends in a beastman to pick up the balll

He picks it up!!  Hurray #8 !!!  Next, a Chaos Warrior sets his sights on Ballgaliel, the thrower...  [attacker down] or [both down]  Ballgaliel forces the big load to use a RR, and the Warrior gets [defender down] stunning the elf thrower.. but at least ol' Ballgaliel cost them their second to last RR!  Project knocks down one more elf and their turn ends:

TURN  7 HOTTEST

Well, here's what Jackal's beleaguered were up against... with five players standing and one stunned and no more RR,  can they hold them out of the endzone for one more turn?

Dehander, the HOTTEST's blodger knocks down a Chaos Warrior...  Vierwrath follows suit, KO'ing a beastman..

WAIT.. WHAT THE FUG???  WHAT HAS HAPPENED!?!?  JACKAL HAS MISCLICKED AND ENDED HIS TURN BEFORE EVEN TRYING A BLITZ... OH NO, THE HORROR...  Jackal's monitor is barely spared an untimely death.  I really want to fly to France cuntpunch those fucking assholes for having the end turn button at the top of the screen instead off to the side... also, there should be a ARE YOU SURE YOU WANNA END YOUR TURN OPTIONAL BUTTON... GODDAMN FROGS.   I'm not saying I had any kind of "sure thing" set up for my attack on the ball carrier, but it's the worst way to end a turn.

TURN  8 PROJECT
Malchodon has one last turn to score.. lots of players, and one RR...  but his ballcarrier can only move 6spaces, so it's gonna take some gfi or some handoff action.

Coach M starts out with two pushes, clearing a left side push ...

Coach M. blitzes the beastman, Robert Palson, at Vierwrath OuttaMyTree, the WarDancer.. [attacker down] [both down] by Palson doesn't have block!!  Project Mayhem spends their last RR...  and gets a push, but Vierwrath has      side-step... ah oh!!

Project is in a pickle!!

As the clock runs out on turn 8 the beastman tries to dodge past Dehandar... but to no avail... check out this action shot!!

I think his horns got stuck in the dirt when he landed!

TURN  8 HOTTEST
Well, needless to say, Jackal's tantrum about the foolish positioning of the end turn button has been quieted.. he is stunned into silence at his fortune... he has held back the enemy.   What will he do now on his 8th turn?

I'll tell you what he'll do.. not one damn thing.... why fuss with Nuffle...  one failed dodge or block and he might lose a player.  Well, okay, why not try one block with the loner..  push. Okay.  This time Jackal intentionally click the end turn button.

The first half is over..  score 0 - 0  with THE HOTTEST receiving in the second half

The KO'd beastman with Mighty Blow regains his concsiousness, but so do the two KO'd elves!!

This means they HOTTEST will be fielding a whole 9 players!!  Minus a WarDancer and Catcher who are both injured.  Sure could use BOTH of those players on offense.  Oh well.

the kickoff resultS in a riot as the two groups of fans are both frenzied with anger and blame.  Sure would have preferred a pitch invasion seeing as HOTTEST had the +1FAME roll.

TURN  10 HOTTEST (NO TURN 9 DUE TO RIOT)

Jackal sets up to block the two Chaos Warriors on the line of scrimmage, a WarDancer on one Warrior and Dehandar, with Block, on the other both with two players assisting.  And he puts the poor loner lineman face to snout with Mayhem's Mino... yuck.  Ethedon, the kickoff return specialist with sure hands sets up deep.

The kick is deep and along the right flank, right on the sideline!!  Both the WarDancer and Dehandar succeed in knocking their opponents to the ground, but nothing more.  Jackal orders DoorKnocker to run back toward the ball.
They try another foul on the downed Chaos Warrior with Jump Up and Mighty Blow and succeed in getting a stun, and not getting caught.  The elves are gathering around the Mino now... here come Nimgros with only dodge as a skill to attempt a blitz!!  He knocks the beast down!  But again that's it.  The Chaos armor holds firm.   The kickoff specialist makes his move, succeeding in picking up the ball and moving it back and away from the dreaded sideline.  The Mino and the two Chaos Warriors are all on their backs.. with the Jump Up/Mighty Blow Warrior stunned from a foul.  Not a bad start to the second half.

TURN 10 PROJECT

Malchodon sends a Chaos Warrior into the HOTTEST's backfield as far as he go.  He stands up another and the dreaded Mino passes his Wild Animal rolls and gets to its feet... I mean hooves.  One blitz is survived by a dodging Dehandar.

TURN  11 HOTTEST
Here's what it looks like for Jackal.  He's outnumbered, but has plenty of time to score.

Jackal sends DoorKnocker down the right flank... and then, WHAT??  He blitzes with Ethedon, the return specialist... predictably, Ethedon gets [both down] [both down] and is forced to RR.. but at least he makes his second attempt.. stunning Robert Palson.    Vierwrath stuns the Chaos Warrior that had only just stood up and Jackal orders Nimgros to run deep up the right side.  Another attempt at a block only gets a push.  This is not exactly a well defended  ball carrier, Jackal... what the hell were you thinking.. i mean drinking.

With a few extra dodging players.. at least there's some semblance of protection now.

TURN  11 PROJECT
Mayhem starts off by stunning the poor loner freebooter and sending a player deep to cover Nimgros.  Here comes the Blitz!!  The beastman rams his horns into the ballcarrier's chest.. Stunning him, but with his last gasp, Ethedon uses his ball handling skills to fumble the ball into DoorKnocker's outstretched hands.. the HOTTEST have retained the ball!!

TURN  12 HOTTEST
Here's what it looks like for the HOTTEST... not exactly the most preferered elven layout...

Leapin' Lizards! Jackal sends Vierwrath on another adventure.. dodging and leaping a blitzing.. She burned a RR leaping out of traffic, but passed the dodge and succeeded in pushing a beastman off of Nimgros...

HE'S OPEN!!

YEA, soooooooo.. now what?  Just have DoorKnocker throw it to the open Nimgros?  Well, it's a long pass and he's in TWO tackle zones and we don't have a RR left for this turn because of Vierwrath's failed leap.. but LET 'ER RIP.

DoorNob.. i mean Knocker did alright,he needed a (+3)he rolled a four, but with a -1 for Long Pass and -2 for TZ he fumbled the ball. A five would have been a scattered pass/punt...and a six would have been a touchdown... ah well.  Instead its:  Turn over.   There the ball sits, right in front of the Big Guy with two of the HOTTEST's players, one a WarDancer... entirely overcommitted downfield.  Not good.

TURN  12 PROJECT

Project spent this turn just banging the elves around and gathering around the ball.  The Mino failed it's WA roll.

TURN  13 HOTTEST

Here's what Jackal was looking at:

Three elves standing.. two of them ridiculously out of position. Yuck.

Okay, so now we've got some standing and Nimgros has repositioned to allow Vierwrath a two dice block. Push.

Here comes the blitz by the blodger Dehandar.. it's a once dicer  !!  And it's a KO!

Interesting choice there not to knock the KO'd player onto to the ball, but still.  And here goes the rookie Sand Man up against the Mino!!  It's two dice against and the poor chap doesn't even have skill... hell, he doesn't even have a single SPP yet...   Oh NO!  Not good.  What's that?  Jackal is gonna burn the team's last RR on a two dice against block?   Put down the crack pipe, Jackhole.  But it works!!  The rookie pushes the snortin' beast back!!

TURN  13 PROJECT

One of the Chaos Warriors decides to start clearing out some room around the ball and sets his sights on Ethedon... who has no dodge, block or wrestle.. obvious choice... WHAT'S THIS..  [attacker down]  [attacker down]

and then the re roll

WHAT IS THAT MAN DOING WITH JACKAL'S DICE!?!?!?   THERE MUST HAVE BEEN SOME MISTAKE...

TURN  14  HOTTEST

Jackal cannot believe his fortune... perhaps all is not lost..  perhaps there is a slight possibility for a score even.  The teams are even at 9 vs. 9 now.  Still the ball is still well covered and he has no RR left.  He is also well aware that Nuffle loves nothing more than to GIVE hope only to YANK it away.  Jackal orders Ethedon of the Sure Hands to dodge out... dodge BACK in to the ball, PICK IT UP, and dodge back in..   SUCCESS!!!!!

All he needs now is a pass completion and the HOTTEST can score!!  C'mon Ethedon!!   Well, at least he didn't fumbled it, but it didn't hit its mark.  Turn over.

SOOOO CLOSE.. but at least the ball is in MAYHEM territory.

(this pic was taken after Malch had already moves that Chaos Warrior ... before the WarDancer was wide open)

TURN  14 PROJECT

After pushing and blocking the elves at midfield, Malchodon blitzed a beastman at Nimgros!! OH SHIT..  Smashed knee!!   Get the doc out there... whew.. cured him.  That's a pic of Nigros running off the field.

Now the the other beastman has picked up the ball!  This could be trouble.. they've got lots of RR left!

TURN  15 HOTTEST

Oh c'mon Jackal.. don't fold now.. maybe Nuffle is wanting to crush Malchodon's will to live and not yours. Jackal surveys the field...

Well, I'll be dammed... the obvious choice was to blitz the WarDancer down behind the ball carrier, she's got strip ball, but Jackal had other plans and after pushing off a Mayhem player, the elves set their sights on the Mino again... dunno why.. perhaps Jackal reasoned that they needed to free up some space or keep the beast from frenzying a player off the pitch, so off they went... after a push by one elf, remember there are no RR, Ginmice Badly Hurt the damn Bull... yea, he's a Red Bull now.

Who knew Ginmice had it in him?

Here comes the WarDancer blitz

only resulted in a push... oh well.. sure wish there was the other WarDancer with Strip Ball around to lend a hand.  and then the thrower thought he'd try acting all tough and got his ass put on the pitch, drooling like a whirly bird in Stunned city. AND Leaving poor DoorKnocker dangerously close to the sideline.

TURN  15 PROJECT
Mayhem has to really get a move on to get into scoring distance.. not a whole lot of resistance other than the sidestepping WarDancer..  A blitz kncks the WarDancer down... freeing up the ball carrier...  The ball carrier with some escorts makes it to mid field... one lone beastman is deep in the center of the HOTTEST's side of the pitch., who else but Robert Palson....  As expected... poor DoorKnocker is sent off the pitch... fortunately, his mother took off her shoe and beat the bejesus out of a MAYHEM fan ... ol' Knocker was badly hurt, but he'll be okay for next week's game. Thanks mom!

TURN  16 HOTTEST
This is Jackal's last hurrah....  no hope of winning, but still has a chance of holding off a Mayhem 16th turn score. Here's the field:

Looks like "all" he has to do is take down that lone beast man...  take him down or at the very least make it hard as hell for him to catch or dodge out...  Jackal surrounds the beastman with four assisting players and blitzes with Dehandar.. the only elf with Block other than the currently resting on the pitch WarDancer...

PALSON IS DOWN!!  SCORE ONE FOR THE RED LEGS!!!   In an act of vengence for the mistreatment of DoorKnocker, Vierwrath dodges out and strikes a foul on the dirty cloven hoofed Robert Palson, Badly Hurting him.

not much left to do but hide and wait... and pray that, with no more Apoth rolls, no one gets injured.

TURN  16 PROJECT

That was probably very stupid on Jackal's part to provoke a 16th turn foul by committing one himself, especially when his oppo had no chance of scoring....  The WarDancer survived a two dice blitz... and the terrified thrower dodged and avoided a forest of boots to avoid a fouling injury and, just like that, the game was done.

TIE.  0-0 ....

Hottest Logo Ever2 vs Project Mayhem

[ BY THE WAY, YOU CAN CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO MAKE THEM BIGGER]

For once, the Hottest was able to win the fame, with a FF of 7 to Project's FF of 5.  Yay! More fans on our side!!

Project won the toss and elected to receive.  It's a beautiful day for BloodBowl.. perfect weather..

Kick is up!  Cheering Fans fire up the HOTTEST's players.. .extra RR!!  That's 4/3 RR for us and 5/4 RR of them since they have leader.

For not having a kicker, they sure booted the ball deep!!  Woot Woot, off to a nice start!

TURN 1 PROJECT
Starts out strong, the Mino Frenzying the dodging Nimgross and getting a [BOTH DOWN] [BOTH DOWN RESULT] on his frezy attack  but the gnarly beast passed his Loner test and Ended up KO'ing Nimgross, but at least he cost them a RR.

.  Elves already down to 10 men, one stunned with three blocks!  Robert Palson failed the pickup and with no RR, the team's turn was over!!   Even more enticing was the ball was now IN the endzone, so another drop could send it into the fans!!

TURN 1  HOTTEST

Jackal decides to force the issue and blitzes a WarDancer down the left sideline. She stuns a beastman with block and mighty blow and continues toward the ball.  The other elves gather around the big Mino and knock him to the ground

TURN  2 PROJECT
Mino passes Wild Animal, even without attempting a blitz or a block, and stands back up.  To the HOTTEST's fans' chagrin, Palson doesn't fail the pickup and he then makes a successful handoff to another beastman who runs almost to midfield and is caged up.

(check out the WarDancer on the right of the cage.. nice WarDancin' Panties!!f)

With a very impressive move, a beastman dodges out on a blitz, turns right back and clobbers a War Dancer, stunning her.

TURN  2 HOTTEST
Here is where Jackal decided to go for broke. Seeing the five players all caged up and two elves nearby, he brought down fire from the skies!  Two reasons:  if he could pick up the ball he may be able to score..  Also, there was the added hope of injuring one of the beastmen who had an AV7.

well, sadly it didn't work quite as planned.. the ballcarrier was knocked down, but the ball landed between two Chaos Warriors..  and no one was injured or KO'd even.    150K of mostly fizzle.

An attempt is made to push or knock the CW into the ball in hopes of it popping out. the dodge out blitz is a success!  . well, sadly, it did, to Ginmicde, who had already moved to assist in the blitz. So, no ball movement.

Jackal orders the WarDancer to go deep in hopes of the elven ballcarrier still being on his feet.   He tries to set up a  makeshift cage, but the thrower fails a dodge out and the turn is over.

TURN  3 PROJECT
First block against Ginmice yields a push. But a blitz by a beastman forces Ginmice to use wrestle to avoid harm and the ball is back on the pitch.  A wicked beastman singles out the skill-less lineman, Door Knocker, KO'ing him.  Also, a beastman was sent to mark the deep threat WarDancer who was foolishly set up along the sideline since she had side step.

TURN  3 HOTTEST
Jackal switches gears here.. dodging out a player to get the numbers for a 2dice block by a WarDancer on the Mino.. knocking it to the ground.   The new kid, Sand Man, has to use a RR, but gets lucky and knocks down a CW.. the elves gather around the Mino and foul him.. only getting a stun, but not getting busted by the ref.

the WarDancer along the sideline succeeds in her one dice block, pushing the beastman back and following up, which may or may not have been a bad move.  In a bold move, Jackal orders the leaping elven catcher to leap to the ball, but he fails the pickup with a one and Jackal doesn't use a RR so the ball squirts out.. and the CW fails the pick up too.  Turn over.

TURN  4 PROJECT
The elven catcher survives a three dice block with a push, but now there are no HOTTEST's players around the ball.  It's free for the pickin'.   The second block attempt against the elven catcher, this time only 2dice, strikes home and badly injures him...

Two Elves KO'd, One Inj.. no reserves.. looking ugly, Jackal.

Palson successfully picks up the ball and takes it across midfield and his fellow player cage him up.

One of the beastmen gets a little too big for his britches and tries a block on the very pissed off WarDancer, Vierwrath...  and he suffers!   After rolling attacker down and not getting the RR nod from his coach, he's.......

DEAD!!!  Fortunately for him, his coach did send out the doc and he was completely healed.. That could have been a big play for the HOTTEST.

TURN  4 HOTTEST

Now Jackal's got some thinking to do...  he's got five guys around the downed Mino who is just waking up from a stun.   The risk another foul!

Another Stun and another safe foul with no ref interference... a bold move, given that a bust would have ended their turn and left them horribly out of position.  With the Mino stunned again.. the elves move into position.. it's launch time with the WarDancer with Strip Ball!!  Elves are gathered near the cage to give Ohtear OuttaMyTree a one dice  block.. IT'S GO TIME

Ohtear takes off, but fails her leap.. forced to use a RR.. and then, with her one dice, strip ball skill she

she what?  [ATTACKER DOWN]  oh no!!   It seems she's strained her groin!

Jackal sends out the back up Apothecary... hmmm, it appears the Doc is recommending breaking her Collar Bone for some reason...  the doc is bludgeoned and thrown into the stands ... he will be summarily taken to the last stall in the men's room and ... well......  let's just say it won't be pleasant...   the HOTTEST will be without Ohtear for the rest of this game and all of the next.  A crushing blow for the now 9 men, two of which are KO'd, left for the HOTTEST.. and what's more: the failed block ended the turn.

TURN  5 PROJECT
The Project starts out well, knocking down two elves and stunning another... in the end there were only three elves standing

TURN  5 HOTTEST

Not much the HOTTEST can do with three players standing, but let's see what Jackal does.  He orders his single WarDancer to blitz leap, all of which is successful and he stuns a beastman.

But then, the cursed thrower, Ballgaliel.. dodges out to move next to the Mino, but fails the gfi.. burns a RR and fails the gfi again.  Yuck. Turn over.

TURN  6 PROJECT
Pretty smooth sailing for Malch here, but he elects to keep it safe and only advances his runner two squares.  He was able to blitz and knock down the WarDancer.   His Mino fails it's Wild Animal roll and fails it Loner roll too! A small break for the HOTTEST.  Coach Malch takes a chance on a one block dice and rolls [attacker down] with no RR left because of the Mino.. that's what it is: Attacker Down.   He is only knocked down and the turn is over

TURN  6 HOTTEST
Jackal is desperate here.  Low on players and WISHING he still had that damn Wizard...  he mounts what meager  defense he can muster.  Look what he's up against:

But Jackal... is crazy... Crazy like a fox? Nope, crazy like a JACKAL!!  He sends his remaining WarDancer in on a suicide mission.. She doesn't have strip ball, but she does have PUNCH balls, aka Mighty Blow.

She gets up, dodges out, leaps, and .. PUSHES the ballcarrier on a one dice blitz... does jackal stop here, hoping that sidestep will somehow keep the WarDancer around the ball carrier.  HELLZ NAW!!!   Using the last of the HOTTEST's RR, she comes up with [DEFENDER DOWN] that Cheering Fans RR sure came in handy!!  The Fans go wild!!

TAKE THAT ROBERT PALSON!!  The elves can't get the ball, but at least it's on the ground and has one tackle zone on it for the time being...  Jackal orders yet ANOTHER foul on the Mino.. this time with just one assist, and it does succeed in stunning the fly covered beast, and yet the ref continues to look away.  I wonder if it's Styx's Vamps mother....

TURN  7 PROJECT
Well, Project still has 2 RRs..  First order of business is to blitz the pesky WarDancer away from the ball.  Project  achieves this without even using a RR.. here's where it get tricky.. Jackal elects to have his WarDancer get pushed back, instead of sidestepping into the ball for an attempt at picking it up...  his reasoning:  he didn't want to give his opponent any free tries at picking up the ball if the WarDancer were to fail a four tackle zone pick up.
